Day 1Home City / Ottawa, ON
Your exciting tour begins as you board your flight to Ottawa, our Nation’s Capital. Upon arrival in Ottawa, meet your tour director at a welcome reception at the hotel.
Day 2Ottawa, ON
A full morning of sightseeing with a local guide including a visit to the Parliament Buildings, Rideau Hall, Rideau Canal, Notre Dame Cathedral and much more. The afternoon is at your leisure to visit Byward Market.
Day 3Ottawa / Quebec City, QC
We travel the beautiful Quebec countryside en route to Canada’s oldest city, Quebec. Upon arrival enjoy leisure time on the narrow streets of fabulous Old Quebec.
Day 4Quebec City, QC
Discover Quebec City on a guided tour including: the Fortifications, Place d’Armes, Plains of Abraham, Cape Diamond, and the Citadel. We also visit the historic site of Montmorency Falls that has a spectacular lookout point over the St. Lawrence River and the Capital. A special treat tonight is a traditional “French” dinner at an authentic Sugar Shack.
Day 5Quebec City / Edmundston, NB
This morning we visit the famous woodcarvers of St. Jean Port Jolie . We enter New Brunswick the largest province of Atlantic Canada and a short drive brings us to the French Community of Edmundston. We stop at the New Brunswick Botanical Gardens, comprised of 8 gardens and two arboreta, offering nature lovers a stunning setting to savour.
Day 6Edmundston / Saint John, NB
We follow the river valley scenic drive along Atlantic Canada’s most picturesque river. We stop to visit the Hartland Covered Bridge, the longest in the world. A short drive brings our happy travelers to Saint John.
Day 7Saint John / Moncton, NB
Today visit the natural phenomenon of the Reversing Falls where the Bay of Fundy tides force the Saint John River to reverse direction. This afternoon we travel through the Fundy National Park, on our way to the Hopewell Rocks to see the Flowerpots. These peculiar formations are forested islands at high tide and resemble flowerpots at low tide.
Day 8Moncton / Summerside, PEI
Our first stop this morning is the Magnetic Hill in Moncton, where you will witness your motor coach coasting up-hill with no power. Then it’s off to the fishing village of Shediac for a photo opportunity with the Worlds Largest Lobster. We cross over the magnificent Confederation Bridge on our way to the province of Prince Edward Island. This evening experience the very best in Canadian theatre at the optional Anne of Green Gables Musical.
Day 9Charlottetown and PEI Tour
A local guide will board our coach this morning and sightseeing today includes the Province House National Historic Site, Anne of Green Gables, Cavendish National Park, and the fishing village of North Rustico, just to name a few. This afternoon, sample some of the best preserves in the world at the Prince Edward Island Preserves Company. You are treated to a delicious Lobster Dinner with a 2-hour stage show of traditional “Down East” music.
Day 10Summerside / Cape Breton Island, NS
Leaving Charlottetown, we travel to Wood Islands and board the Ferry to Caribou on the Nova Scotia mainland. Via the Canso Causeway, we cross to Cape Breton Island. We drive along the pristine shores of Bras D’or Lake, where hundreds of bald eagles nest along the shore and the surrounding countryside. At Baddeck, we pay a visit to the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, where we see the many inventions this genius fostered.
Day 11Cabot Trail
Today experience a picturesque trip around the renowned Cabot Trail and Margaree Valley. Along the way we visit Flora’s, a wonderful gift shop that features Cheticamp Rug Hooking. We tour Cape Breton Highlands National Park, with stops at Lone Shieling, Pleasant Bay and Neil’s Harbour.
Day 12Baddeck / Halifax, NS
Today continue alond the shores of the island's beautiful inland sea - the Bras D'or Lakes. Arrive in Halifax and enjoy leisure time on the boardwalk. Later see Halifax from a different viewpoint as you board the Tall Ship Silva for an enchanting harbour tour.
Day 13Halifax, NS
Today a local guide takes you on a City Tour that highlights the Citadel, the Halifax Harbour, Pier 21, the Public Gardens and much more. We travel into the Annapolis Valley where the orchards and rolling farmlands encompass one of the most celebrated apple-growing regions in the world. We stop at Grand Pre National Park where you learn the interesting lifestyle and history of the Acadian people. We continue to Peggy’s Cove, one of the most picturesque spots in all of Nova Scotia.
Day 14Halifax/ Bangor, ME
Leaving Halifax, we travel the Lighthouse Trail through Mahone Bay, one of the most photographed towns in Nova Scotia.
Day 15Bangor/ Montreal, PQ
Our route takes us across Maine through picturesque villages and panoramic valleys. We cross the International Border into Canada and arrive in Montreal. This afternoon a local guide will board our coach for a city tour including Old Montreal, Mont-Royal, Chinatown, Little Italy and St. Joseph’s Oratory. Enjoy leisure time in Old Montreal before checking into our hotel for the evening.
Day 16Montreal / Kingston ON
A short journey this morning brings us to Kingston. Enjoy a short historic tour of the Limestone City including the Queens University campus, one of Canada's oldest learning institutions as well as a visit to Bellevue House.
Day 17 Kingston / Niagara Falls, ON
Fall is grand in Southwestern Ontario as we travel along the rolling countryside. Explore Niagara Falls including the Niagara Parkway, Commission Greenhouse, the Whirlpool and the Floral Clock. Don your raincoat and board the “Maid of the Mist” Cruise to get a close up view of these gigantic falls. To complete our stay in Niagara Falls, we take a short ride up the Minolta Tower and dine atop the tower that rises an impressive 525 feet above the Niagara gorge and provides a breathtaking view of the Horseshoe and American Falls.
Day 18Niagara Falls / Toronto / Home City
Today enjoy a morning of leisure in Niagara Falls before transferring to the Toronto International Airport.
