| Day 1: | Edmonton - Cranbrook, BC | | Board the motorcoach and journey south through Calgary and west into the Crowsnest Pass, offering views of the Frank Slide. Check into the hotel for an overnight stay in Cranbrook, nestled between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. Prestige Inn |
| Day 2: | Cranbrook - Spokane, WA | | This morning, have passports ready to cross the International border, driving through the beautiful lake area of Idaho. Stop in Sand Point and visit the official headquarters of the Coldwater Creek Store that specializes in women’s apparel, jewelry, accessories and gifts. The downtown hotel location offers easy access to shopping this evening or just relaxing. Red Lion Hotel |
| Day 3: | Spokane - Portland, OR | | Today, follow the majestic Columbia River connecting the states of Oregon and Washington. Travel through Dalles to the historic Columbia River Scenic Byway and view the spectacular Multanomah Falls, a 611 foot tall, roaring, awe-inspiring cascade of icy waters and the second highest year round falls in the United States. Experience the power and beauty of nature up close and with ease. Stop in at the Multanomah Lodge, offering a coffee shop and gift shop. Continue along the scenic windy road, with lush greenery, and magnificent vistas. Stop at Crown Point Vista House, now a visitor information centre, offering spectacular views of the river. | Day 4 & 5: | Day Trippin'! | | The next two days are packed to the brim with activities to keep everyone happy!
Experience the kaleidoscope of colors at the annual Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, just a hop and skip away from the hotel. With more than 40 acres of tulips and daffodils blooming simultaneously, it is guaranteed to be a delectable viewing experience. The festival offers a variety of attractions on site including the Tulip Café, a gift shop, wooden shoe making demos and a crafter’s marketplace. Visit Oregon’s largest outlet mall, Woodburn Company Stores. Enjoy tax free shopping at some very big brand name stores such as Nike, Coach and Columbia Sportswear to name a few. No need to worry about the rain because the covered walkways will make shopping smooth sailing. And if more shopping is needed, Washington Square Mall awaits, offering Macy’s, JC Pennys, Nordstroms and Pottery Barn, just to name a few along with a variety of restaurants in gleaming, light filled spaces. But what tour would be complete without a visit to a local winery. Visit Hawksview Cellars, offering spectacular views of the Cascade Range from Mount Rainier to Mount Jefferson. Relax, sample some of their labels, along with assorted cheeses. Return to the hotel and the rest of the evening is at leisure. (2B) |
