Your exciting musical tour begins as you are welcomed aboard your luxury coach and cross the southern plains of Alberta into Saskatchewan.
Day 2 - 6
Swift Current / Minot, ND
During the next 5 days, feel the warmth of the Scandinavian hospitality at the 29th annual Norsk Hostfest, North America’s largest Scandinavian Festival. Here you will find over 200 internationally recognized artisans, craftsmen and chefs participating. The cuisine as well as the clothes, art and jewelry are authentic, fine quality and exquisitely Nordic. Your 5 Day pass will gain you daily admission to the Hostfest with 7 different stages all under one roof and you can enjoy professional quality musical shows at the various stages. As well you receive reserved seats to FIVE Celebrity Shows including the CLOSING SHOW. Past stars have included Andy Williams, Charlie Pride, Anne Murray, Merle Haggard, Paul Anka, Lorrie Morgan, Kenny Rogers and many more. Our hotel provides complimentary continental breakfast and shuttle to and from Hostfest.
Day 7
Minot / Swift Current, SK
We retrace our steps home today as we travel north and cross the border into Canada for our last overnight stay.
Day 8
Swift Current / Calgary / Edmonton, AB
A day of travel as we cross into Alberta and reflect on a trip of musical memories with fellow travelers and newfound friends. (CB)
OPTIONAL DAY TOURS
Need a little time away from the Hostfest? Anderson Vacations will be offering the following complimentary optional day tours during your stay in Minot:
1. Day Trip to Bismarck – Travel north and visit the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Centre and Fort Mandan in Washburn (small fee for admission, not included). We arrive in the State Capital and view the Heritage Centre and The Capital.
2. Side Trip to the Antique Whirl Whip Ice Cream Shop in Stanley and a tour and wine tasting at Pointe of View Winery in Burlington.
