to the lower mainland of British Columbia and

| Relaxation begins this morning with a BC Ferry trip to Nanaimo, Vancouver Island's second largest city. Our Pacific Coast Tour begins as we travel through the beauty of the Alberni Valley, past Kennedy Lake to scenic Ucluelet on the Pacific Ocean. (B) Canadian Princess Resort |
| Day 4 | Tofino |
| Today discover the treasures that abound in
the Pacific Rim, old-growth forests, white-sand
beaches and the all-powerful Pacific Ocean. Our
guided tour takes us to Long Beach, the Pacific
Rim National Park and Ucluelet, the heart of
Clayoquot Sound. (D) |
| Day 5 | Ucluelet - Port Alberni, BC |
| This morning explore Tofino, with its photogenic
harbour, shops and restaurants. This afternoon
experience another Pacific Coast treasure as
we travel by ship from Ucluelet to Port Alberni.
We sail through The Broken Group Islands in
Barkley Sound, up Alberni Inlet, while carrying
cargo, mail and passengers. Enjoy the scenery,
look for wildlife and interact with the ship’s
crew when they are not engaged in landing at
a wharf or float. Bring your binoculars, camera,
warm jacket and casual clothes as we travel
through The Broken Group Islands, which are
only accessible by boat. Meals are available on

| Day 6 | Port Alberni - Comox, BC |
| Today travel through Central Vancouver Island,
overlooking the magnificent coastline and
beaches along the Strait of Georgia, through
Parksville, Qualicum Beach, and Deep Bay and
on to Courtney. En route take time to wander
the 70-acre Milner Gardens and Woodland, a
“hidden” treasure of the island. This afternoon
a local guide will join us for a tour of the Comox
Valley including the historic and heritage town
of Cumberland. Find out why the Canadian
Association of Retired Persons has selected the
Comox Valley as one of the top four places to

The treasure of Vancouver Island’s history
awaits today. See the remarkable Discovery
Pier, Canada’s first dedicated saltwater fishing
pier. Continue our exploration of this northern

| Day 8 | Comox - Whistler, BC |
| Sit back and enjoy the view as we return to the
mainland via ferry and travel to Whistler. A stop
for provisions will be made en route so you can
enjoy leisure mealtime in your fully equipped
suite. Tonight you can watch the spectacular
sun set into the endless mountain scenery
behind Blackcomb Mountain at this popular

| Day 9 | Whistler - Sun Peaks, BC |
| Another leisurely drive today with more
magnificent scenery as we hug the shores of ice
blue glacier fed lakes and climb the spectacular
north portion of the Fraser Canyon to Lillooet.
Head east through Cache Creek and Kamloops
and arrive in the mountain village resort of
Sun Peaks. Your time is at leisure to stroll
through the village and explore the many unique
shops. This evening join your tour director for a

| Say farewell to British Columbia today as we
follow the beautiful David Thompson River
north and then head east into Jasper National
Park. We cross into Alberta with many fond
memories of our Vancouver Island Tour and the
new friendships we have formed. |
