Anderson Vacations team building
programs are unique, challenging, fun and keep
everyone involved. We can combine a selection
of activities to create one-half day or whole
day event. These activities can of course be extended
to incorporate as many one-half or whole days
as desired. And, we can divide your group into
any number of teams that will spend the day competing
in, enjoying, and learning from an assortment
of events and challenges.
Many of our activities can be completed in as
little as 15 minutes, making them perfect for
breakout sessions, though most of our exercises
are somewhat longer. Groups can often complete
3 - 4 of our individual events within an hour
to an hour and a half, and can comfortably complete
5 of our events within a three hour time frame.
All of our activities are easily adaptable to
group size and many can be conducted either indoors
or outdoors.
Pricing will vary depending on the number of
individuals participating in an event, on the
length of the event, and on the particular team
building event selected. Ask our expert event
planners for an exact price based on your group
and your specific choice of programs.
Here are some exciting ideas as to how to spend
one-half day with your team.
The “Titanium Chef” dinner battle
is based on the format of a Japanese cult sensation.
“Titanium Chef America” carries
on the legend of “Kitchen Stadium”
and the famed “Secret Ingredient”.
Battle it out with your co-workers as each team
is given the challenge of preparing and serving
a pre-determined menu. Teams are provided with
all of the basic supplies, ingredients and equipment
required. Guidance will be provided for each team
by a culinary expert. This expert will also be
ensuring the safety of those preparing and consuming
the meal.
Each team’s efforts will be judged on the
following criteria:
- Flavour;
- Presentation;
- Work Station Cleanliness;
- Team Participation Levels; and
- Effective use of Host Bar.
Teams have the opportunity to purchase upgraded
ingredients and/or equipment, to enhance everyone’s
dining enjoyment, by successfully answering cooking
trivia questions. Correctly answered questions
are rewarded with tokens that can be traded for
additional equipment and/or ingredients.
A
sample menu is outlined below. However, we can
work with a variety of foods and themes to create
your group’s personalized dining experience.

So you think you’re smart, eh? Then let’s
get together and test your knowledge and strategy
with this unique, fast-paced and fun-filled version
of the famous Trivia game.
To play the Human Trivia Challenge, your group
must first divide into six teams, with each team
“volunteering” one of its members
to become their Game Piece. These individuals
will then be attired in the specific colour of
uniform and apparel that identifies their team
(i.e. pink, blue, green). The ‘Volunteer
Game Piece’ then takes its place on the
game board, which is composed of vinyl banners
that have been painted to represent the trivia
board.
The game starts in the usual manner, with each
Game Piece rolling the giant die and moving around
the board in search of slices of pie. A correct
answer allows the team to continue to move. When
a ‘Volunteer Game Piece’ lands on
a “pie” square, the team must correctly
answer the trivia question associated with the
colour of that specific pie. If successful, the
game piece wins that colour of pie and must attach
it to their headgear. The team then has the option
of replacing their Game Piece with another team
member.
The trivia challenge has six categories, with
three being regular trivia categories and three
being defined at the discretion of the group.
The final three categories will have questions
provided by the group prior to the event. This
activity is great for conferences, meetings and
sessions where the group is geographically diverse,
new to each other or would like to build rapport.
The game can be arranged to be as big as 40 feet
in diameter or as little as 24 depending on the
size of the venue. The mats can be arranged in
a number of ways depending on the variables of
the group (number of participants, time frame,
objectives) and the goals of the session.
Potential Program Locations: Anywhere
with room to play the game.
Time Period: 3 to 4 hours
Inclusions: All equipment, staff
and a “Trivial Pursuit” themed layout.
